I would like to start off by thanking you for giving me the opportunity to apply for a position like this! I would be a great addition to the Artistic Team, because I am constantly thinking of ways to improve in things around me all the time. I’m a very creative and out of the box individual. I love being part of a team with anything I do. I have a very upbeat and positive personality and I love showing others that a great attitude can take you far in life.

I have been a licensed barber for over 3 years, and on top of that I have regularly cut and colored hair before that for manly years. I specialize in beard grooming, straight razor shaving, and texturing blades with longer men’s hair, which is not something that I see people use often. I could really help inform others with techniques and more creative ways to achieve curtain looks.

I have so many reasons that I would be great for the team, but I would love to show you instead of tell you!

I am Lydia Williams-Jefferson, from the Oklahoma City Memorial Ave store. I would like to be a part of the Artistic Team because I am very creative with my work, I love what I do, I love my job, I love the company I work for, I love to learn and I also like to teach others. I chose Knockouts because I want to grow in my career and I believe that being a part of the Artistic Team will help me to achieve that goal.

My first week at Knockouts I set a personal goal to become a top producer in my store. I was inspired by the leaders in my home salon and the success they had achieved. I strived to improve my abilities as a stylist, to build a loyal and diverse clientele, and to become a trusted leader within my salon. Not only did my technical skill grow, but so did my understanding of the business and what it meant to be a “Knockouts girl.” I quickly learned there are intangible tools that I could utilize every day on the floor to enhance the salon experience for each individual client

I have fallen in love with the creative freedom that Knockouts provides, as well as the clientele and KO team members. Now with almost 2 years of experience as a Knockouts stylist, I find myself ready to take my career, education, and technical skills to the next level. Reflecting on my personal growth has made me realize what a vital role the leaders in my salon and the Knockouts management team played in my professional development. Helping other stylists realize, achieve, and maximize their full potential while building the Knockouts brand would be the most rewarding way to advance my career. I would be proud to represent the company as a member of the Knockouts artistic team.
